Iain and Elizabeth Paterson have had family connections in Southern Snowdonia since the 1960's.  They spotted the potential this area has to offer a number of years ago by investing and developing property in Tywyn and following on from that, they started their own lettings agency - Lounge Lettings/Holidays in Tywyn in 2008. This soon expanded to include the office in Barmouth. In 2014 with their sons Scott & James, they opened a bistro 'Salt Marsh Kitchen' and last year opened a cafe/bar in The Old Market Hall in Tywyn 'Salt Marsh Cafe Bar'. Iain also launched Sunset Bay Lifestyle in Tywyn, then in 2017 they opened a second store in Aberdyfi. Throughout 2017 Iain worked with Arriva Trains and Network Rail to secure the lease on the Station in Barmouth. They have now moved the Barmouth Office of Lounge Holidays into the station building, opened another branch of Sunset Bay Lifestlye, and a coffee shop. All this in addition to providing Tourist Information, train ticketing services and accommodation services.
